Captain Nairac, an officer in the Grenadier Guards, was operating undercover when he was forcibly taken from the Three Steps Bar in Drumintee, South Armagh. He was subsequently transported across the border to Ravensdale Forest near Dundalk, where he was brutally beaten and murdered on the 15th May 1977.
Nearly five decades later, his remains have never been recovered, denying his family the dignity of a proper burial.
After nearly 50 years, it is time to bring closure to Captain Nairac’s family and to honour his service with the dignity he deserves.
